October 19, 2009 – Building Community Organizations (BCO) Breakfast

Start your morning with a BCO buzz!

BCODN’s Building Community Organizations (BCO) program invites members to hear from the current roster of volunteer consultants working on projects to date. Our speakers will fill you in on the challenges, rewards, and learning that comes with helping non-profit organizations.

The projects you will hear more about involve the following non-profit clients:

  1. An organization that facilitates the building of healthy communities through a focus on poverty reduction, homelessness, and affordable housing.
  2. An organization whose mandate is based on Ghandi’s philosophy of  “being the change you want to see”.  Their focus is on education and community engagement in three primary areas of social justice, environmental sustainability and spiritual fulfillment.

In the hour-long session, you will also learn more about how you can contribute by volunteering as a consultant or an OD mentor.

Event details: October 19th, 2009 from 8-9 AM at the Sylvia Hotel, 1154 Gilford Street, Vancouver, BC
