“The core function of any business is to create value and
capture value.”

– Amos Michelson, CEO-Creo Products

Cost: $10 for non-members, members free.

One of the goals of the BCODN this coming year is to emphasize the value of
Organization Development, and the impact of OD on the bottom line. The value
of OD is not always easy to define, and resolving this difficulty is critical
if OD is to flourish as a profession and vocation in BC. To that end, many
of our events this year will be have a strong practical emphasis, with tools
and results that will be appealing to managers and executives who are primarily
motivated by efficiency and the bottom line.

The goal of this meeting is to provide you with an opportunity to clarify
your unique value statement, which will set personal and professional direction
for yourselves and your clients! To be successful in business and other professions,
it is critical to first determine who your customers are, understand what they
value and then determine how your unique value can meet their needs.

The night will include an opportunity to reconnect with other members, a short
presentation on value, followed by a highly participative group activity, which
will enable members to clarify their value statements and assist others.

There’s something for everyone!

Aside from your unique value, this event will provide you with experience
and a tool to help you clarify the core value of any activity or group. It
will also provide an opportunity to practice skills in coaching, dialogue,
and listening. Take this great opportunity to join your fellow BCODN members
in a discussion of value, and how you can use it.
