Health Care is facing enormous challenges to strengthen performance at the
clinical and operational levels, to ultimately deliver improved services while
controlling costs. While daunting, there is precedent for successful transformational
change in other premier health care centres. Vancouver Coastal Health, in partnership
with the BC Organization Development Network, is pleased to present a learning
opportunity with one of the leading academic health care centres in the USA.

Sridhar Seshadri, Vice-President for Planning and Process Excellence at Stanford
Hospital and Clinics (SHC), will join us January 12th, 2006. He will share
his insights and experiences using an integrated change- and process-redesign
methodology to drive improvements at Stanford Hospital and Clinics.

SHC is transforming the way they practice care delivery, provide service to
patients and their families, and interact with employees and the community,
with the goal of being the premier academic medical centre in the USA. Through
an innovative approach to transformation, Sridhar and his team are successfully
driving performance improvement.
