Standard information gathering tools, such as surveys, questionnaires, polls, and interviews often
doesn’t enable us to capture people’s stories – their replies such as “that depends” or “yes, under
condition x, but not under condition y”.
Emma Hamer from Hamer Associates will lead us in dialogue, experience sharing, and learning
to answer the following questions:
· How do you find out what’s really going on in your organization, or your client’s organization?
· How do you capture what people actually DO?
We will discuss ways to discover hidden problems around change management, requirements
gathering, and process review and redesign. We will also look at decision making around
complex issues – the unknown ‘unknowns’ that impact business performance.
