  • Location: Vancouver City Hall Learning Centre, 12th & Cambie
  • Parking: Free Parking available either on street, or on the Rotunda level
    around City Hall
  • Entrance: On the north side of City Hall, take the stairs down, in front
    of the Capt. Vancouver Statue. At the foot of the stairs, turn to the left,
    about 30 feet, and enter via the glass door. NOTE: Follow the Yellow Directional
    arrows!
SESSION OVERVIEW:

Join us on October 27th to discover the secrets of Best Buy’s simple change
methodology of “Head, Heart, Hands” that has enabled big change.

Lisa Ryan, Talent Development and Change Leadership Manager at Best Buy Canada
will share the model and tools to help people understand the change (Head),
be motivated to make the change (Heart) and ensure they are able to change
(Hands). Bring a change that you would like to work on so you try out the tools
yourself!

Lisa has worked in Human Resource roles for over 10 years as a HR Advisor,
Organizational Development Consultant, Human Change Manager and Talent Development
Manager for Royal Bank, BC Gas Utility (now Terasen Gas) and Best Buy Canada.
She began her management career as a front line manager with Royal Bank where
she worked for over 4 years as Customer Service Manager. She has developed
and implemented performance management, leadership development, training and
change management programs for workforce relocation, technology and process
changes and cultural changes.

As a Talent Development Manager, Lisa now develops and implements Best Buy
Canada’s talent strategy to get the right people, help them know what’s expected,
provide opportunities to learn and grow and align rewards to build an engaged
workforce. Lisa’s education includes an MBA specializing in Managing People & Organizations,
an undergraduate in Economics, a certificate in Organizational Development
from National Training Labs (NTL), qualification as a Myers Briggs Type Indicator
facilitator and Gallup StrengthFinder coach training. Lisa teaches HR and OD
courses for University of Phoenix’s MBA program – both classroom and online.
