BCODN

Join members of the BCODN as they explore OD issues and share their learning/knowledge with peers.

What is a CoP?
It is a container, growth and common purpose, has value, me + we dance – in service, in the interest of the practice, problem solving, pool of talent, relationships, organic, inclusive, a place to share and to trust.
Members offer their knowledge as moderators, facilitators, instructors and we encourage members to moderate a discussion around their tough questions. It allows members to practice facilitation skills.
Members focus on a topic or question that allows for the possibility of an emerging issue.

Facilitator and Theme
The facilitator and theme is determined at the previous session and details will be posted ASAP.

Background
Looking back at our roots, before the BCODN was even an established ‘society’, the idea of the BCODN was that of a Community of Practice. Fast forward 10 years to the 2010 Annual General Meeting (AGM), its Future Search and the expressions of interest in exploring the potential for a Community of Practice within the BCODN – an informal way of learning and sharing with each other. In the October 2010 event, Chris Corrigan spoke of the importance of moving from a network of like-minded individuals to a deeply connected and interdependent community that encourages stewardship of the organization by purposefully empowering and engaging all members in its own development.
